Peter Hagialas is a Managing Director and the Founder of Porto Leone Consulting, LLC (“PLC”). He manages the overall operations of PLC and assists with complex valuation assignments including the valuation of tangible and intangible assets and business enterprise valuations for purchase accounting, financing, tax and depreciation purposes, property tax analysis, operational and technical due diligence reviews, and cost segregation studies.
Mr. Hagialas has over 20 years of experience in machinery and equipment valuation and cost segregation studies in a variety of industries including telecommunications, hospitality, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, aerospace and defense and commercial real estate.
During his career, he has conducted on-site inspections of over 2,000 properties, and his technical reviews and valuations have appeared in reports for a variety of organizations. He has also provided expert analysis in support of property tax and other litigation cases in local, state, and federal court.
Prior to the founding of PLC Mr. Hagialas was a Director with Standard & Poor’s Corporate Value Consulting and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP’s tangible asset valuation groups and was responsible for the development of their national cost segregation practices. In addition, he was also responsible for establishing and developing the machinery and equipment valuation practices in the Washington, DC and Philadelphia, PA offices of another Big 5 accounting firm.
Mr. Hagialas graduated in 1985 from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications and an emphasis in Business Administration. He continues to strengthen his credentials through technical courses and seminars associated with the valuation of machinery and equipment, telecommunications system design, maintenance and construction, contemporary infrastructure studies, and new technology reviews. He is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (“ASA”) with the American Society of Appraisers and maintains comprehensive relationships with numerous design, manufacturing and construction firms. |
