Rose Moroz is the Director of Business Valuation Services for Porto Leone Consulting, LLC (“PLC”). Her financial consulting career spans 20 years and includes valuations of a variety of business enterprises. Ms. Moroz’s experience encompasses valuations of the capital stock in public and privately held companies for financial reporting, gift and estate tax planning, charitable contribution, federal income tax planning, ESOP, recapitalization, buy/sell and financing purposes. Other experience includes valuations of companies, their domestic or foreign subsidiaries, and their underlying intangible assets in connection with FASB 141/142 purchase price allocations and goodwill impairment testing.
Prior to joining PLC in 2008, Ms. Moroz held the position of Assistant Vice President with Management Planning, Inc. in the Corporate Valuation Practice where she specialized in the valuation of intangible assets for FASB 141/142 purposes. Before Management Planning, she served as a Manager of Business Valuations for Enterprise Appraisal Co. As Manager she established the framework of the company’s financial reporting practice servicing small, large, public and private companies.
Prior to Enterprise, Ms. Moroz spent six years in public accounting as a Senior Financial Analyst with Grant Thornton LLP and Deloitte & Touche LLP. She participated in the establishment of the business valuation practice at Grant Thornton, having managed the Midwestern U.S. and Baltimore, DC and VA territories. Preceding service with Grant Thornton, Ms. Moroz was employed as a senior financial associate for Deloitte & Touche LLP and Marshall and Stevens Incorporated where she conducted business valuations of capital stock and intangible assets for attest and non-attest clients; valuation of GP/LP/LLC interests for gift and estate tax planning, C-S conversions, S-Corp. elections, goodwill impairment testing and purchase price allocations.
Ms. Moroz received a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the Philadelphia College of Textiles & Science, and a Masters of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Philadelphia University. She is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (“ASA”) of the American Society of Appraisers, certified in Business Valuation, and has been serving as the President of the American Society of Appraisers Southern New Jersey Chapter for the past three years. Ms. Moroz is also an affiliate member of the CFA Institute. |
